Weather it was a poor shot, unsure shot placement, or worry of kicking the animal up, there’s nothing better than having the peace of mind to know what is going on with your Trophy! The reason I got into this was because I was unable to recover a trophy buck I had shot with a rifle. As soon as I fired I watched the buck drop, but when I came back to get it, it was nowhere to be found. I would not find the carcass until a year later with the entire deer except the horns being wasted. I’m all too familiar with how things can go and just how tough these animals can be!
